Mazda MX-5 and its 25th anniversary edition

Mazda unveiled a new edition of the MX-5 this week at the New York Auto Show to mark the model's 25th anniversary. Yes, it's been 25 years since the world saw the original MX-5 NA . It was presented at the Chicago Auto Show on February 9, 1989 . The basis of the annual edition is the version with a folding roof, red metallic paint (Soul Red Metallic), which is complemented from the outside by black A-pillars, side mirrors and the roof itself. The interior boasts not only light leather upholstery and aluminum pedals, but also a decorative dashboard that has been modified by hand.

The annual edition is equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers, 17′ ten-spoke alloy wheels in Gunmetal color with Bridgestone Potenza RE05A tires in size 205/45 R17. It will be equipped with a six-speed gearbox, which you can choose between manual and automatic.

According to Mazda , a total of 100 units will go on sale in the US this spring. The price of the car should be 640 thousand crowns in conversion.
