At the end of the year, Mazda promises to modernize the model range . The hatchback 2 and roadster MX-5 will end the year with a completely new generation, the SUV CX-3 is a new model, and the Mazda6 and SUV CX-5 have at least been modernized.
You can recognize the modernized form of the second largest SUV in the Japanese automaker's range by the new radiator grille , similar to the smaller SUV CX-3, which is followed by slightly modified main lights with additional LEDs. These can also be found in the rear group lamps, also as part of the additional equipment. The offer of wheels was completed by cast nineteens in a two-tone design, the palette of colors now includes Sonic Silver metallic and Titanium Flash Mica shade.
The interior, as in the case of the Mazda6, is dominated by the electronic parking brake and the new seven-inch display of the Mazda Connect multimedia system, which is a kind of highlight of the center panel. On the console itself we find new buttons for controlling the ventilation , as well as slightly different ventilation outlets. The quality of the used plastics and upholstery has been improved (new option to pay extra for Parchment leather upholstery), the practitioner's heart will surely be pleased by the greater number of storage areas.
Under the hood of the American specification, we find a pair of Skyactiv-G gasoline units – the weaker two-liter has 156 hp and 203 Nm, the stronger two-and-a-half-liter has 186 hp and 249 Nm. Both engines work with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, all-wheel drive will also be available. The range of engines in Europe will be considerably richer. It all starts with the two-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline engine with an output of 160 hp and a torque of 208 Nm, respectively 165 hp and a torque of 210 Nm. More powerful is the four-cylinder 2.5 Skyactiv-G with a power of 192 hp and a torque of 256 Nm. There will also be diesel engines, represented by the 2.2 Skyactiv-D with a power of 150 hp with a torque of 380 Nm, or 175 hp with a torque of 420 Nm.
The chassis received a more comfortable shock absorber tuning , the number of damping materials was also increased, which reduced the noise in the cabin. Greater safety is provided by radar cruise control , blind spot monitoring, brake assistant and traffic monitoring behind the vehicle.
