Mazda CX-7 ends!

Well, unfortunately. Mazda's radical solution was recently announced by its press spokesperson. The main reasons are two – low sales numbers of the Japanese SUV and, on the other hand, high interest in the smaller CX-5 model and the flagship CX-9 . The golden mean is simply not happening now.

The Mazda CX-7 was last introduced in the 2010 model year, where a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline unit with four valves per cylinder was also available. The unit was mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Large volumes without supercharging and the need to rev the engine simply do not appeal to those interested in buying an SUV, which is confirmed, for example, by poor sales results in Great Britain. Approximately 800-1000 Mazda CX- 7s were sold here, although the car had been on the market there since 2007.

However, the Mazda CX-7 may not be over for good. The car company's intention to produce the most efficient gasoline and diesel aggregates is taking on solid dimensions thanks to the new SKYACTIVE technology. In the future, we could expect a revival of the CX-7 model with one of the new power units under the hood.
