The Mazda 6 wagon is finally official

Although it has only been a few days since the Japanese automaker Mazda presented the new generation of the popular model 6 in the sedan version , we already have the first official images of the practical wagon body variant.

The Mazda 6 wagon , which will be officially shown to the public at the Paris Motor Show, as well as the sedan, is based on the Takeri concept. Thanks to this, we can admire the graceful curves of the body, which is practically flawless, and I will not be far from the truth when I call the new generation of this dynamically acting model as one of the most attractive novelties in recent years.

Both body variants will go on sale in Europe at the end of this year for an as yet unspecified price. The engine will be powered by a SKYACTIV-D four-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 2.2 liters. Lovers of gasoline units will then be able to choose between a two-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G with an output of 110 kW (148 hp) and 210 Nm of torque and a four-cylinder with a displacement of 2.5 liters with an output of 141 kW (189 hp) and 256 Nm of torque. The technologically advanced engines will be complemented by the i-ELOOP kinetic energy recovery system. However, it will still only be offered in conjunction with the most powerful gasoline engine. A MacPherson type front axle and a multi-element rear suspension cannot be missing. However, there are significantly more novelties and the torsional stiffness has increased by a full 30% compared to the previous generation.
