Mahindra presents the XUV 500 facelift

The most modern part of the Indian Mahindra model range is undoubtedly the 4585 mm long XUV 500 SUV. It's been on the market since 2011, so the timing of a light facelift isn't surprising.

The new identity of the entire car company is primarily represented by the rendering of the radiator grille , which is already known from the new generation of off-road Scorpio . New projector lights with strips of LED diodes in the shape of the letter S make it a capable second. The fog lights have been moved higher, and their borders almost follow the main reflectors. The hood and the lid of the fifth door with a chrome strip received minor modifications. The top-of-the-line W10 (further on W4, W6 and W8) can also enjoy 17-inch alloy wheels , the color palette of the body was completed for all lines by orange Sunset and white Pearl respectively. An interesting element is the projection of the model's logo on the road through the rearview mirror.

In the highest specification W10, the XUV 500 gets a two-tone interior, with which it looks very nice and valuable. The center console is decorated with a seven-inch touchscreen of the multimedia system with navigation and the BlueSense application. This allows passengers to control the infotainment via a mobile phone. Also new are the pedals, blue ceiling lamp , backlit door sills, six-way adjustable driver's seat, sunroof or keyless start and access to the car. Safety is provided by six airbags , ABS, ESP, a rear parking camera and, in the case of a four-wheeler, also a hill-descent or hill-start assistant.

The technology remained practically unchanged, so under the hood there is still a 2.2-liter diesel (with a reprogrammed control unit) with an output of 140 hp at 3750 rpm with a torque of 330 Nm between 1600 – 2800 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission transmits power to the front or all independently suspended wheels. The basic price of the Mahindra XUV 500 is 1,121,000 rupees (approx. 443,000 crowns), the cheapest four-wheeler in the W8 configuration comes at 1,499,000 rupees (approx. 592,000 crowns) and the top W10 AWD version comes out at 1,599,000 rupees (approx. 631,000 crowns ).
