Lotus boss Jean-Marc Gales revealed new information about the 3-Eleven model, which is the successor to the 2-Eleven type. In an interview with Auto Motor und Sport Gales stated that it will be based on the Exige model, but the stiffer chassis should not weigh more than 890 kilograms. It will be powered by a forked six-cylinder engine with an output of 308 kW, which will take the car up to a speed of 290 km/h. Even so, it will be approved for use on roads. The car will be officially presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show and only 311 cars will be produced.
