Lincoln MKZ officially introduced

The legendary American car company Lincoln has planned to introduce the MKZ luxury limousine these days . The car was first shown as a concept at this year 's Detroit Auto Show and will arrive in showrooms later this year.

As you can see from the pictures, the concept differs from the production version only in details. A huge panoramic sunroof, a luxurious and stylish interior and an LCD instrument panel with the MyLincoln Touch system, originally from Ford, remained.

The new Lincoln MKZ thinks first of all about the safety of the crew, which is why we meet here with modern electronic assistants. The Lincoln Drive Control system, collision warning with emergency braking, lane departure warning and unique inflatable safety belts for rear passengers are a matter of course. Everything is complemented by 8 airbags supplied as standard.

There will be a choice between two gasoline and one hybrid unit. The basis is a modern four-cylinder EcoBoost with an output of 179 kW and a torque of 366 Nm, for fans of large volumes there is a six-cylinder 3.7 with an output of 300 hp (224 kW). Both engines are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddles under the steering wheel, there will also be a choice between front or all-wheel drive.

Customers who purchase a hybrid will get their money's worth with a two-liter gasoline unit, traditionally combined with an electric motor. The combined output of both units is 140 kW and the torque is a solid 175 Nm. Measures to reduce consumption are a continuously variable transmission and rear-wheel drive only.

Prices for the American market are not yet known, but given the technologies used, they will not be low at all. Official imports to the Czech market are not counted.
