Lincoln introduces the MKC concept

The American car manufacturer Lincoln , which is not a bed of roses and belongs to the Ford concern , is going out with quite a strong weapon in Detroit . The mid-size SUV concept, called the MKC , shows a possible future direction for the brand.

In terms of appearance, it is the first Lincoln model that was completely designed by Max Wolff , a former Cadillac designer. This is evident in the design of the car, mainly in the rear parts and the side profile. However, the front part bears the characteristic features of today's Lincoln models.

The interior will offer luxury and comfort to four people , who have separate leather armchairs available. The center console will offer a large display of the multimedia system and a very interestingly shaped ventilation outlet. However, by far the most innovative solution of the entire interior is the system that recognizes the driver and automatically adjusts the seat and steering wheel to the position that suits him best.

Lincoln is keeping the technical details more or less to itself, so all we know is that the MKC shares a platform with the Ford Escape (Kuga in our case), is 4.5 meters long, 1.9 meters wide and 1.6 meters tall. An Ecoboost unit has probably moved into the engine compartment, but without exact determination of volume, power, etc.

As is customary with Lincoln, the MKC Concept is practically a series-ready car. We can expect its final form with all the details sometime this year, as well as the start of sales in the US.
