Lexus RX 450h now also in the UK

The Japanese car manufacturer Lexus presented the facelifted model RX 450h also on the British market. Here, as here, it will be sold in SE , Luxury , Premium and F SPORT specifications .

For the entry-level SE version, the British devotee of large hybrids will pay at least £44,495 including tax. For your money, you get exclusive alloy wheels with a diameter of 18", nine-speaker audio and leather upholstery with electrically adjustable seats.

The Luxury line adds more features to the base, as well as a higher price. Now the customer (say James) will pay a minimum of £49,495. An extra £5,000 adds up to 19" alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a 12-speaker multimedia system with DVD support and satellite navigation with its own hard drive. The TV tuner is the imaginary icing on the cake.

James took up sports, so it is necessary to drive in an adequate line of the RX 450h model. At this point, it's appropriate to write a check for £51,995, which gets everything included in the lower spec. However, the F SPORT line is all about looks, which are enhanced by unique ten-spoke alloy wheels and a more aggressive body kit. Inside, James will find new leather upholstery, sports aluminum pedals, an F SPORT steering wheel, a black ceiling and a head up display.

James became a businessman and got a liking for the highest specification Premium . It contains everything that the first two versions, but is additionally enriched with a head up display , unique leather upholstery, an electrically opening sunroof and Mark Levinson premium audio. James wiped away a tear after paying £55,495.

Regardless of the final selection, James will have a real gem under the hood. The hybrid combination of a 3.5-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors produces a combined output of 220 kW, which can propel the RX 450h from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.

Lexus seems quite optimistic about the issue of fuel consumption. Jemes will tell himself that an average consumption of 6.3 l/100 km is almost impossible, after the roughly 700 kilometers I drove with the RX 450h last year, I know that it is possible.

Well, I wish James many happy kilometers, whatever he chooses from the four versions offered. On the pages of AutoZine magazine, we will take a closer look at the facelifted Lexus RX 450h in about a month, when a full editorial test will take place.
