Lada already played with the sports hatchback with the previous Kalina generation, where 8,251 units of the Sport version were finally produced. With the arrival of the new Kalina, the second-generation Sport version was introduced, which is more powerful and, above all, looks much better than its predecessor.
Black grille, sports bumpers , side skirts, diffuser with chrome exhaust tip, lowered chassis , rear spoiler or alloy wheels . These are the weapons with which Kalina Sport intends to attack the aesthetic sense of potential customers. The interior is more than about style, bringing just new upholstery, a leather steering wheel and a leather shifter head with contrasting stitching, it's about equipment, which includes a multimedia system with GLONASS navigation, manual air conditioning, front, side and head airbags, on-board computer, electric windows and mirrors , heated seats, remote central locking and rear parking sensors.
While the predecessor was available in a version with 89 or 98 hp, the new Kalina Sport has a 120 hp 16-liter gasoline engine under the hood, combined with a six-speed manual transmission with shorter gearshift paths . The result is a sprint to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 197 km/h with a consumption of 7.8 l/100 km. The chassis, as well as the entire car, went through the hands of technicians from the Lada Sport department , who, for example, also worked on Grants for the WTCC championship. The price starts at 487,000 rubles , i.e. about 280,000 crowns.
