The new generation Kie Soul adheres to the style of its predecessor, so it is a stylish city vehicle that is perfect for the creation of various special editions. The first one was named Red Zone and its appearance refers to the popular Track'ster concept .
The Kia Track'ster concept (photo in the gallery) was presented in 2012 at the Chicago Auto Show and immediately won the hearts of all visitors. For a long time, there was speculation about its serial form , but finally the automaker issued a statement that we will not see the Track'ster on the roads. This is due to the high demand for the classic Seoul , on which it would be built. The Kia factories are barely able to cover customer orders and it would not be worthwhile to expand the lines just for the sake of a few pieces of the powerful Track'ster . Therefore, a special edition Red Zone has now been presented as a consolation.
The Soul Red Zone edition will be built on the basis of the Plus version and the exterior style clearly refers to the above concept. The body color with an aggressive body kit is bright white with red details found on the radiator grille, bumpers and door sills. The eighteen-inch alloy wheels also vaguely resemble the Track'ster . The car is powered by an atmospheric four-cylinder with direct injection 2.0 GDI . The latter provides 164 horsepower and 205Nm flowing to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission .
The interior was also not forgotten, which is dominated by the black color of the fabric seats and dashboard. The multifunctional steering wheel is covered in leather, as is the cover of the instrument cluster. The red stitching , which can also be found on carpets, has a contrasting effect. Details on the dashboard, including the vents, speakers and gear lever head, are also brought out in this color. The installation of sports pedals is a matter of course.
Considering that the North American branch of the Kia brand informs about the Red Zone edition, and that the Soul is not yet available in the Czech Republic, we probably wo n't see this style car. In addition, production is limited to only 2,000 units , but the price has not yet been announced.
