Kia Sedona – The new generation of Carnival is coming

The South Korean car manufacturer Kia is diligently working on a new generation of its large MPV Sedona , which is known in our region under the name Carnival . We have more detailed information for you, especially about the expected design of the car and the date of its arrival.

The already significantly outdated Carnival / Sedona model disappeared from most markets some time ago, only to return to the US market this year with light modifications. We informed you about this at the beginning of May. Behind this step was the automaker's decision to postpone the arrival of the new generation of the model.

The appearance of the new large MPV was foreshadowed in 2011 with the KV7 concept (photo in the gallery), but spy photographers claim that the production guise will be slightly different. A leaked sketch of the model (in the gallery) supports them in this opinion. The interesting line of the side glazing will remain, but the unconventionally opening rear door will replace the classic sliding one, and the traditionally large Kie tiger mask will appear on the front.

We do not yet have detailed technical information, but spy photographers were once again able to reveal something. The prototype they were looking at was allegedly powered by a 2.2- liter diesel engine coupled to an automatic transmission .

The definitive date of the premiere of the novelty has not yet been officially announced , but it is widely assumed that the redesigned Sedona will appear during the next year. Less likely is the premiere at the end of this year.
