The Žilina-produced Kie Sportage facelift has been talked about for a long time. Somehow it was expected that the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show would solve this question. That didn't happen, and instead of Europe, the Sportage was shown in the US for the 2014 model year .
And the changes are really very cosmetic. The radiator grille , the bumper for the EX version and the graphics of the front and rear lights are new. While the rear ones can be equipped with LEDs , the front ones can be HID.
The most important change in the interior is probably the modified version of the UVO multimedia system , through which you can also connect to the Internet using a smartphone. The equipment includes new items such as a telescopic steering column, ventilated rear seats or the Premium package , which includes leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof and GPS navigation.
Under the hood of the American Sportage, there is a modernized 2.4 GDI four-cylinder gasoline engine with a power of 184 hp and a torque of 239 Nm. In addition, the offer also includes a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0 Turbo GDI with an output of 261 hp.
