Last week, we published the first teaser of the upcoming Korean hot-hatchback on our website. Yesterday, Kia revealed more information about the mentioned model, and above all, it confirmed that the hot hatch will be offered in the three-door version Pro_Cee'd GT as well as in the standard five-door Cee'd GT .
Both named variants will have a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder GDI gasoline engine with a sporty twin-scroll turbocharger with a power of 204 hp and a torque of 265 Nm under the hood. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Kia has revealed that the sports model accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, so it cannot compete with the current generation Golf GTI , which reaches 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Both body versions will have modified chassis and suspension.
From the "classic" hatchbacks, the sharp " Gétéčka " will differ with a sportier grille, a grouping of the bumper and lights, a special set of 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear diffuser, red brake calipers and, above all, four-point LED daytime running lights. The interior will feature Recaro sports seats, custom aluminum pedals and other material on the dashboard and dashboard.
The world premiere will probably be at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show . Production of both GTs will begin in mid-May 2013 in Žilina, Slovakia, and will reach European showrooms in the summer.
