Kia has modernized the K5 sedan

Korean Kia excites its European fans as much as possible. After the overseas premiere of the modernized Optima , there is also a facelift of the Korean version, which calls itself the K5 . Only that Europe again nothing…

The main distinguishing feature of the facelift is the more prominent use of LEDs . These have grown into the front lights and the bumper, where they form the fog lights. After all, the entire front bumper has been replaced with a newer, sportier piece. LEDs are also found in the taillights. Compared to the front part, however, the back can dig in. Other changes include the new design of alloy wheels .

The interior also received several partial changes. However, you don't have to wait for diodes anymore – instead, you will get a new multimedia system through which you can connect to the Internet, for example. And while reading the Internet, for example, as a passenger in the front part of the car, you can enjoy a "quality massage" from seats with a massage function . Other changes are already classic – better materials, processing and new colors or decors.

Under the hood, a trio of power units appears in Korea. For the classic type of drive, there are a turbocharged 2.0 T-GDI four-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 271 hp or a classic atmospheric four-cylinder 2.0 GDI with an output of 165 hp. The alternative wave is represented by the hybrid version , which combines a classic combustion engine with 150 horsepower with an electric motor that now has 47.6 horsepower instead of just 40 horsepower.
