Jezza is leaving the BBC and with him the old Top Gear

You must have heard about the fight over food between Jeremy Clarkson and producer Oisin Tymon, which took place in a hotel in North Yorkshire where the crew was filming. The media avalanche surrounding this case is simply relentless. Clarkson turned himself in to BBC management after the whole incident, where he allegedly assaulted the producer first verbally and later physically, and that made a short trial of him on Wednesday.

The contract, which expires at the end of March , will not be extended to the popular Jezzo, and the presenter will be on the pavement, so to speak. In an official statement , the head of the BBC, Tony Hall , admits that this decision of his will divide the company into two camps, on the other hand, he sees it as somewhat necessary. According to him, Clarkson crossed a certain line, and even if the BBC is supposed to give space to different opinions , it should not happen in such a way. At the end of his statement, Hall adds that he has always been a fan of Jeremy's work in Top Gear and believes that the controversial presenter will entertain us for many, many years to come. Clarkson was only brief on the matter, saying that people shouldn't blame Oisin Tymon for anything that happened.

Top Gear as such is currently suspended, but it is expected to resume next year, but the original hangar will most likely not see it. At the same time, the BBC is looking for a way to broadcast the missing episodes of the last series with Clarkson. And quite possibly also the last series with the entire trio of presenters, who, according to current information, will not renew their contract with television. Like Clarkson, it ends at the end of March. Hammond said about the whole situation that this is the end of an era , May, for a change, stated that the entire trio works as a complete package and when asked who he would like to work with, he said that with Clarkson.

In the meantime, he has already received an official offer for his own show about cars. It comes somewhat surprisingly from the Russian state television Zvezda , which falls under the Russian Ministry of Defense. In addition to the Russian offer, there is also speculation about the interest of the American internet television Netflix , where Clarkson would also have his own show about cars, which he would also have full control over. According to earlier speculations, the entire trio could also appear on the screens of British Sky TV . So where the trio, or ultimately just Clarkson, will appear is in the stars. If May and Hammond were to stay at the BBC after all, they could be joined by radio presenter Chris Evans , who owns, for example, a Ferrari 255 GTO. However, he denied the news.

Thanking Clarkson for his services was not only released by Tony Hall, but also by Toyota's British arm . She published a video summarizing the most interesting moments of her models in the popular motor show. On the contrary, the moderator of the police in North Yorkshire is threatened with criminal prosecution, but everything is still under investigation . If ultimately found guilty, he would be barred from working in the US. However, according to speculation, this scenario is highly unlikely…
