At this time, a battle is taking place on the auction portal eBay to acquire a very rare car. The Chevrolet Corvette C6RS is a unique piece that until recently was owned by the American presenter and car collector Jay Leno.
The Corvette C6RS was built at the request of General Motors, who wanted a road version of their Corvette C6R racing special. A total of 7 Vette C6RS were produced. The particular model being auctioned was built over the course of a year and was worth over $330,000.
Since this Corvette is based on the race version of the C6R , it received a carbon fiber body, strong Brembo ceramic brake discs, and a K&N filter intake. There is also a Corsa racing exhaust and 19″ BBS wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Power is provided by an 8.2-liter V8 engine, which provides more than 600 horsepower (447 kW) and 813 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a T-56 six-speed manual transmission that can withstand really rough handling.
The Chevrolet Corvette C6RS features a sporty interior by Caravaggio, featuring premium leather upholstery, yellow contrast stitching and bucket sport seats. The crew will be able to enjoy a Panasonic music system or a rather unusual integrated radar detector.
