Jaguar introduced the first SUV in its history

Among other things, the first SUV or large crossover in the history of the British Jaguar is presented in Frankfurt . The C-X17 is not only beautiful, but also innovative thanks to the new modular platform.

In this way, Jaguar responds to the success of similar solutions at, for example, VW. Its modular platform iQ[Al] (Intelligent Aluminum Architecture) is made of aluminum and offers a light construction combined with high strength. In addition to the crossover, a compact sedan will also be built on their basis. Jaguar boasts that the iQ[Al] can form the basis of a car with emissions below 100 g/km, as well as a model with a speed of over 300 km/h.

But let's go back to the C-X17, which combines elements typical of most current Jaguars. While the rear part is more similar to the sporty F-Type , the front is based on the XF or XJ sedans. The good look of the SUV is completed by 23-inch wheels, blue Cesium paint and, of course, LEDs in the front lights.

The interior will offer space for four passengers, surrounded by luxury in the form of two-tone leather and aluminum elements. The instrument panel, as well as the center console, are made up of modern digital displays. Meridian audio takes care of the great sound. An interesting feature is the two folding places in the trunk, which are suitable, for example, for a picnic in nature.

The large SUV has a length of 4718 mm , a height of 1649 mm and a width of 1959 mm. The wheelbase has a value of 2905 mm, and the off-road capabilities are indicated by the ground clearance of 213 mm. The automaker is silent about the engine, so the only information we can confirm is the use of all-wheel drive .
