Invitation to American classic cars

Interested in American classics? In that case, we have a tip for an interesting trip. And to Ostrava for an exhibition of classic American cars. The American classic cars exhibition takes place from 20 July to 16 September 2012 at the Černá louka Exhibition Center in Ostrava . It is a tour of American veterans from 1950-1980.

35-40 cars from the year of production 1949 to 1976 are on display. All major car manufacturers that produced in the mentioned years are represented, e.g. Cadillac , Buick , Chevrolet , Pontiac , Ford , Chrysler , Lincoln , but also lesser-known or now defunct car companies . An example is one of the few automobiles produced by Henry Ford's son.

The exhibition also presents unique items such as a custom car purchased by New York State Senator Joe Galliber in 1976; a car owned by Jan Werich in the 1980s or cars in Hot rod, Custom and many others. Part of the American classic cars exhibition is also an exhibition about the mother of roads – Route 66 . The exhibition is organized by the Czech Route 66 Association .

A competition for 3 valuable prizes is prepared for all visitors. Visitors to the American classic cars exhibition can participate in voting for the most beautiful vintage car. The first winner will receive a weekend wellness stay at the Odra Hotel for 2 people with half board, the second winner will receive an hour-long drive around Ostrava in a selected veteran car, and the third winner will receive a one-year subscription to Chrom Plameny magazine – the only magazine in the Czech Republic focused on American cars.
