The crew led by Tomáš Kašpárek broke off the front wheel about 20 km before the finish after one aerial stunt, thus losing the podium position in the competition. Tom took the whole event with a smile and took it as another experience behind the wheel of the Princess 69 ( Tatra 815 ). Aleš Lopraise , who was in the lead of the competition, had another adventure: " We made a fatal amateur mistake and filled up a little fuel in the service zone. We have a new engine map and the Queen ( Tatra Jamal ) has been buzzing surprisingly a lot. 10 km before the finish line, the heart stopped. We had a comfortable lead, which we watched from the front row. We take it as another lesson learned and a test for the Dakar . Apart from a few small things, the Queen worked great and overall I am very satisfied with the new Gyrtech engine and the current tuning of the chassis… " Aleš pointed out.
