Hyundai Veloster SR Turbo for Australia

The Australian branch of the Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has prepared a real treat for its customers. Hyundai Veloster SR Turbo . It will be available for almost 32 thousand Australian dollars (approximately 690 thousand crowns) in the version with a six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed automatic will cost an additional 42,000 crowns.

The centerpiece of this atypical beauty is the power unit hiding under the new front hood. It is a turbocharged four-cylinder twin-scroll T-GDI with a displacement of 1.6 liters with an output of 150 kW (204 hp) and 265 Nm of torque. These figures mean a power increase of a whopping 46% over the non-turbo versions. And given the volume, the consumption will not be dramatic either, which in the combined cycle is around 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers in the version with a manual transmission. The automatic takes another 0.8 liters more.

In addition to the optical package differentiating the SR Turbo version from the base version, the Veloster is complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 215/40 R18 tires. And if you're wondering about the standard equipment of this Australian spec, believe me, it's no slouch. Already in the base, customers get an on-board system with a seven-inch touch screen and satellite navigation, six airbags, electronic stability control and a traction control system. There is also a rear parking camera, daytime running lights, push-button start and automatic air conditioning.
