Hyundai introduced the second generation of the large Genesis sedan

After yesterday's presentation of the Kia K900 , which is heading to the segment of the most luxurious cars , today we will show another Korean who wants to anger the premium competition. The second generation Hyundai Genesis is better and more advanced in all respects than its predecessor.

We can start right away with a design in the style of Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 , which is characterized by a hexagonal radiator mask and short overhangs of the body. In addition to them, the new Genesis has front HID headlights , LEDs instead of fog lights and blinkers, rear headlights composed entirely of LEDs and wheels with a size between seventeen and nineteen inches.

The interior of the 4990 mm long , 1890 mm wide and 1480 mm high sedan benefits mainly from a wheelbase extended to 3010 mm and more room for the head (1045 mm at the front and 970 mm at the rear), shoulders (1480 mm at the front and 1450 mm at the rear) and knees (1160 mm at the front and 890 mm at the rear). The volume of all storage spaces in the interior has also increased – specifically by 3.7 liters to 26.9 liters. Materials and processing should be at a far more premium level than before.

Depending on the market, a three-liter six-cylinder engine with 257 hp and 303 Nm of torque will be available under the hood, a 3.3- liter six-cylinder engine with 282 hp and 347 Nm torque, a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine with 315 hp and 397 Nm torque, or a five-liter eight-cylinder engine with 425 horsepower with a torque of 519 Nm. All engines will work exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, or even all-wheel drive using the HTRAC system .
