Hyundai introduced a sportier-looking i20

The arrival of the three-door Hyundai i20 was predicted by the automaker itself at the beginning of September. Although not the first small hatchback to feature three doors and the South Korean manufacturer's logo, it was the first to use the better-selling Coupé moniker .

Compared to the classic hatchback, there may be more changes than you might expect. Above all , the roof line is 25 mm lower , which, together with more beveled pillars, gives the car a more dynamic profile. The front part has also been changed with a larger hexagonal grille , the rear has a new trunk lid with an integrated spoiler and slightly larger group lights. If you want to give space to show your emotions, Hyundai offers a unique Tangerine orange color , which goes hand in hand with the orange interior, and new 17-inch wheels.

In a direct (numerical) comparison with the hatchback , the 10 mm longer body (total 4045 mm) with a height of 1449 mm and a width of 1730 mm stands out . The trunk holds 336 liters, which means an increase of 10 liters. The engine range is identical to its more practical sibling and includes the 1.25 (84 hp and 122 Nm) and 1.4 (100 hp and 134 Nm) petrol units , respectively the 1.1 CRDi (75 hp and 180 Nm) and 1.4 CRDi (90 hp and 240 Nm) diesel units . The weakest gasoline unit is combined with a five-speed manual transmission, other engines have one more speed as standard. The petrol 14-litre can also be equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission.
