Hyundai HB20X – a small crossover for Brazil!

The recently revealed Hyundai HB20 has been shown at the ongoing Brazilian Motor Show in Sao Paulo . However, it was not the only model at the stand of the Korean car company, the HB20X model, which is a small crossover derived from the first named car, also became a surprise. Unfortunately, both cars are only intended for the Brazilian market. You can tell by the designation HB , or H yundai B race.

Crossover HB20X is based on the design of a classic hatchback, but has a redesigned front bumper and a six-point mask (known mainly from SUVs of the Korean brand). We will also find new fog lamps and black-chrome frames around the headlights. Not to be overlooked are the plastic "protectors" around the wheel arches and thresholds, moldings on the rear bumper, silver mirror covers, 15-inch dark gray alloy wheels and increased ground clearance. Silver carriers can also be seen on the roof.

In the interior we find sports pedals, chrome handles inside and out and double blue stitching for the steering wheel and seats. Under the hood of the HB20X we find a single power unit, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 128 horsepower. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a manual or automatic transmission. Hyundai also said that a sedan is expected to join the HB20 hatchback and HB20X crossover in the first quarter of 2013.
