Hyundai modernized sedan Avante

A week ago, Korean Hyundai aired the first trailer for the updated Avante sedan , known in Europe as the Elantra . After a week of waiting, Hyundai served us the first photos of the modified model.

The appearance was adjusted very easily. Thanks to the use of modernized lights and fog lights, LEDs for daytime running lights and a new radiator grille, the Avante visually approached a more modern i30 or i40. By installing new bumpers, the compact sedan grew by 5 mm in length at the front and by another 15 mm at the rear. Overall, it measures 4550 mm .

Photos of the interior are not yet available, but Hyundai boasts of moving the air vents higher up and modifying the center armrest. Other changes include the use of ventilation vents for the rear seats as well, ventilated seats, modified power steering and, above all, the Smart Parking Assist automatic parking system.

A diesel unit will finally appear under the hood, namely a 1.6 CRDi unit with a power of 128 hp and a maximum torque of 279 Nm. In conjunction with the manual transmission, the new engine consumes 5.4 l/100 km, with the automatic it is 0.8 l/100 km thirstier.

The modernized Avante will appear in showrooms in the fourth quarter of this year. Whether we will see the same changes and especially the diesel engine in Europe has not yet been confirmed by the automaker.
