Honda will show the pre-series version of the European Jazz in Paris

Honda is heading to Paris with a pair of pre-production models in the B segment. Next to the HR-V Prototype crossover will be the Jazz Prototype , based on the Japanese Fit that was introduced last year.

The prototype of this popular model comes with an all- new sleek and modern bodywork that symbolizes the major improvements made to this latest model. The exterior dimensions have changed and thanks to a longer length of 15 mm and a wheelbase of 30 mm , there is even more space inside the car.

The third generation of the European model Jazz, which is part of Honda's small car line, will be produced under the company's compact global platform . The central location of the fuel tank will be retained, as it is on the current model, as well as on the Civic and the recently announced HR-V. This space-saving layout brings customers the unique advantages of versatility, interior practicality and storage solutions. Even this latest model will be equipped inside with very versatile Honda Magic Seats .

Thanks to the new suspension system, the new Jazz will offer a more pleasant and comfortable ride for both the driver and passengers. Sales of the third Jazz will begin in the summer of 2015 and will offer more economical operation and higher performance thanks to a new engine with Earth Dreams technology . The new 1.3-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine is complemented by a six-speed manual transmission (which replaces the previous five-speed) or a CVT transmission.
