The Honda S660 is about to go into production

Reports out of Japan suggest that the small S660 roadster unveiled last year in Tokyo will go into production. And already at the end of this year, so customers could meet it in Japanese showrooms from next year.

The S660 concept is based on the fully electric EV-STER prototype presented in Tokyo back in 2011. But last year's version is powered by a 660 cc turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine. Its 64 horses are sent to the front wheels by a variator . But the gasoline engine could receive a boost in the form of a small electric motor. In appearance, the S660 references the Honda Beat of the early 1990s, as well as the new Honda NSX . However, sales outside of Japan are not counted. Definitely not in combination with a three-cylinder.
