The arrival of the new Honda Civic Tourer is already approaching, so the automaker maintains interest in the model by gradually releasing information. We can now introduce you to some interesting elements of the combi version of the Civic and show official photos of the camouflaged prototype.
The Honda Civic Tourer is a model intended primarily for European customers, so it was designed and developed on this continent. It faces competition in the form of the Ford Focus station wagon , the Volkswagen Golf Variant , the Seat Leon ST or the domestic Skoda Octavia station wagon.
In addition to the design and volume of the luggage compartment, the most interesting element of the Civic Tourer should be the adaptive suspension of the rear axle Adaptive Damper System . This will be adjustable in Comfort, Normal and Dynamic modes, improving the stability and comfort of the car under changing loads and road conditions.
As for the difference compared to the five-door Civic , the Tourer will gain less than 40 kilograms in weight and should cost 15,000 to 35,000 crowns more . Nevertheless, it will maintain economical and gentle operation, when, for example, with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel , it will not produce more than 100 grams of CO2 per 100 kilometers .
The unveiling of the production version of the Honda Civic Tourer will take place in September 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and the official start of sales is set for early 2014 .
