Holden introduced a compact SUV

The family of compact SUVs from GM is probably growing by the last member. After the Opel Mokka , Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore comes the Holden Trax to the Australian market.

Already from the name of the car, you can deduce which of the four siblings Holden has the most in common with, apart from technology. Practically except for the radiator grille, the Australian model could be confused with the Chevrolet Trax . Despite the unity of appearance, however, the tuning of the Australian Trax should be specially adapted to the roads there.

The cabin is also almost identical to the Chevrolet. Only the equipment is richer – the basic LS level offers 6 airbags, air conditioning, a leather steering wheel or the MyLink multimedia system. The higher LTZ grade adds heated front seats, a six-speed automatic or fog lights.

Under the hood there is a single engine – a 1.8 petrol unit with a power of 140 hp and a maximum torque of 175 Nm. In conjunction with the five-speed manual (LS equipment), the Trax consumes 7 l/100 km, the six-speed automatic (LTZ equipment) increases consumption by 0.6 l/100 km.

The base price of the Holden Trax is 23,490 Australian dollars (approx. 411,000 CZK).
