Holden Commodore Clubsport and Maloo are back!

If you remember the episode of the phenomenal Top Gear , in which Richard Hammond dealt with Australian cars, you will certainly remember the two in question, about which we will now talk. The local car manufacturer HSV has decided to return the Commodore Clubsport and Maloo models to the offer.

The aggressive expressions of both cars have softened a bit at the moment, however, after seeing even one of them in the rearview mirror , I would immediately line up in the right lane. Giant suction spaces in the hood and ventilation outlets on the sides of the cars are a real must, long strips of LEDs less so. Due to the performance that both Australians have, a powerful braking system has been installed, showing off powerfully through the 20" alloy wheels.

The interiors are designed entirely in the spirit of modern times, but it is difficult to estimate from the photos how well they will be made. The four most important elements are very attractive – a three-spoke steering wheel, sports seats with lateral guidance, a selector lever for automatic or manual transmission and a chapel with three alarm clocks. Two-zone air conditioning and an information system with a 6.5-inch touch screen are considered commonplace today.

Now for the most important part – the engine. Under the hoods of these inconspicuous Australians beats a turbocharged eight-cylinder with a volume of 6.2 liters and an output of 317 kW. The maximum torque of 550 Nm is sent through an automatic or manual gearbox to the rear wheels, while with each acceleration a phenomenal soundscape, bordering on a heart-rending scream, is heard.

And what about the prices? You will pay at least $59,000 (1.27 million crowns) in Australia for a two-seater Holden Maloo , which has quite a large cargo area. The more practical and, after all, slightly prettier Commodore Clubsport is available for $65,000, i.e. 1.4 million crowns.
