He found a Porsche 911 Carrera that his father had once sold – so he bought it again

Do you know the story of Lassie, who ran a great distance to return to her owner? A yellow Carrera 2 generation 993 from Hong Kong has a somewhat similar story. It belonged to Vincent Mui 's father, who bought it instead of a pink 964. After buying a new 993, he joined the Porsche club and started driving to meetings and track days with others. Then he even bought another 964, which he only had for circuits and kept his yellow 993 for normal riding. His son Vincent fell in love with the yellow Carrera with Gemballa exhaust and Recaro seats. He also liked the original bodykit and wheels from the Turbo version. But his father decided to sell the car in 2007 and buy a newer 911 GT3 generation 997. Vincent was at university at the time, so he didn't talk to his father about his decision. But he began to miss the yellow Carrera a lot. Any yellow specimen could have been theirs.

For five years, Vincent tried to find out where their car had gone. And then one day he found him in an advertisement. He immediately contacted the owner and went to inspect the car. He discovered that the seller is a Porsche 911 collector who restores older pieces, then drives them and sells them on to free up space in his garage for more Stuttgart pieces. However, the yellow 993 Carrera looked the same as when Vincent had last seen it. It turned out that this collector was the only owner who owned the car after Vincent's father and drove it only 10 thousand kilometers. Vincent negotiated a price with him and they bought the car back with his father. And for almost double the amount they originally sold it for. Vincent originally wanted to repay the amount to his father, but he received the car as a gift. Now he is so excited to have this great car that he fell in love with as a child at home. It's his only car, so he has to drive it carefully. He knows that this time this Carrera will stay in the family for as long as possible.
