Gazoo Racing is modifying the Toyota GT86

At the end of December, now last year, we mentioned the upcoming Toyota GT86 with a strangely long name and a lot of modifications . Gazoo Racing , the company behind the whole project, has now published the official look of the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum .

From the first teasers, it was clear that no stone would be left unturned in terms of design . And it was confirmed through the official photos. The modifier played with both the front and the rear. Looking at the front part, you probably wouldn't know what model it is. GT86 got completely new lights, bumper and hood. At the back, the lights are also new, but their shape resembles the original. Furthermore, the GT86 has a huge rear wing and a very cool diffuser.

Gazoo Racing also installed 18-inch wheels with 245/40 tires at the front or rear. 265/35 rear. These wheels then reside in vented fenders. The interior received sports seats, a steering wheel and, most importantly, a racing cage. What other news has the tuner prepared with an award most likely at the Tokyo Auto Salon, where the model will be presented.

Under the hood, there is technology that has already been used once – the twice-turbocharged 2.0 four-cylinder engine with an output of 330 hp was already used in the GRMN Sports FR Concept, which was shown last year at Goodwood. In addition to the engine, the FR Concept Platinum also received a 6-speed manual transmission, which transmits power to the rear wheels and is also greatly assisted by the self-locking differential.
