Ford introduced the all-new Transit Custom this year, and now the sporty Custom Sport variant is coming . It plans to follow on from its successful predecessor, the Sport Van , which was introduced in 2007.
The new Transit Custom Sport is based on the stock Ford Transit Custom with a short wheelbase and I have to say it has received a great looking body kit. This includes a new front bumper spoiler, revised exterior mirror caps and widened side skirts. The distinctive appearance of the van is complemented by stylish eighteen-inch alloy wheels shod with 235/50 tires.
Of course, the changes also affected the interior , where we can find partial leather upholstery supplemented with Peter fabric, which is located on the central areas of the seats. The Transit Custom Sport is equipped with the new SYNC system with voice control and support for all external devices. In addition, it is supplemented with a digital radio tuner.
In terms of performance, the Ford Transit Custom Sport Van gets a Duratorq 2.2 TDCi diesel engine under the hood, which has a power of 155 hp and a torque of 385 Nm. The unit will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Potential buyers will be able to purchase the sporty looking new Transit from the beginning of next year. However, the price will not be low – prepare at least 34,950 euros .
