Ford Ranger won the International Pick-Up Award

The current Ford Ranger won the 2013 International Pick-Up Award in Dublin, which is basically the best pick-up of the period. The Ford car company thus won its third international award this year.

The Ranger passed tests at the Millbrook Proving Ground in the English county of Bedfordshire. It scored a total of 47 points for its on-road and off-road capability, powerful engine, load and towing capabilities, as well as high safety. It deservedly took first place, followed by the Isuzu D-Max in second and the Volkswagen Amarok in third.

The pickup with the blue oval offers two different Duratorq TDCi engines, front or all-wheel drive and three cabin designs – Double, Super and Regular. The Ford brand is already proud of its third title , the first time it won the International Engine of the Year award for the 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost . Then thanks to the Transit Custom model, it won the International Van of the Year 2013 award.
