Last year brought the concept of a compact sedan from Ford with the old name Escort . After a year of waiting, the car company released a series version of the concept , which kept the legendary name and its shapes.
The body design was designed in Australia and takes inspiration from the latest models of the brand – Fiesta, Focus or Mondeo. It means a hexagonal grille and big headlights. From the profile, we are probably looking at the most elegant compact sedan today, here Ford deserves praise. In the rear, there is a chrome strip and large headlights, but don't expect anything revolutionary.
The interior is also in the spirit of recent Fords, and on the center console we find a cluster of a large number of buttons . Already in the base we find six airbags, the Device Dock , which is a place on the center console where you can place your smartphone or MP3 player and charge it, or the radio, which is also equipped with smartphone connectivity .
From the technical parameters, Ford has only published that the Escort is based on the platform of the current Focus , and under its hood we can find a 1.5 Ti-VCT four-cylinder gasoline engine . Production will take place at Changan Ford's joint factory and sales will take place only in China for now. Whether we will ever see a similar car in Europe is still unclear.
