Ford introduced a modernized version of the Focus Sedan

The Geneva Motor Show brought the premiere of the modernized Ford Focus in hatchback and station wagon versions. However, the last body variant, which is a three-seater sedan , was not shown at Palexpo. The reason is simple – Ford hid its modernized form until the New York auto show .

Already at first glance, it is clear that there will be no departure from station wagons and hatchbacks. So it means a new Aston Martin-style front fascia, new lights, a modified bonnet, a different bumper and new fenders. The rear part has new lights , a bumper and a different trunk lid with a decent spoiler. What you don't recognize at first glance, but you will still appreciate when driving, are thicker carpets and glass in the rear windows.

The interior received new decors, seat materials and colors, a redesigned steering wheel and, above all, a new center console. On it, in addition to the new cup holders, we can also find a 4.2 or 8-inch display of the MyFord Touch system , which is connected to the standard rear parking camera. The list of safety assistants has been expanded to include blind spot monitoring and lane departure monitoring, the Sync system now comes with a lot of data directly from the real operation of the car.

Under the body we find a modified chassis with new shock absorbers for a quieter ride, a modified rear suspension and a recalibrated power steering for a better connection between the car and the road. Under the hood, the only new thing is a turbocharged liter three-cylinder Ecoboost , with as yet undisclosed parameters, in conjunction with a six-speed manual.

More sport-oriented drivers will certainly be interested in the SE Sport package with seventeen-inch wheels with 215/50 HR-17 tires, design modifications and paddles under the steering wheel on automatic versions. In addition to the modernized sedan, a modified version of the electric Focus will also be on display in New York.
