Ford has announced for a long time in advance that its small SUV EcoSport will also appear in Europe. He supported his actions last year at the Paris Motor Show, where a pre-production model was shown. The final version even arrived in Geneva , but the car still hasn't appeared on the market. However, selected markets could finally see it after the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Ford prepared a special launch edition , originally called the Limited Edition . These are the first 500 units of the EcoSport (including 120 for UK customers) in final European specification.
While the classic EcoSport won't hit showrooms until next spring, you can get your hands on the Limited Edition now. For 16,995 pounds (approx. 519,000 CZK), the SUV offers standard equipment, plus 17-inch wheels, the Ford SYNC AppLink multimedia system with several special applications and leather upholstery.
The standard EcoSport, in the only Titanium grade , will be equipped with, for example, sixteen-inch wheels, fog lights, seven airbags, ABS, ESP, EBA, radio with CD and Aux input, or electric windows in the front and back. The price will be between 14,995 pounds – 17,495 pounds (approx. 458,000 CZK – 534,000 CZK).
Under the hood of the Limited Edition will be a three- cylinder 1.0 EcoBoost gasoline engine with a power of 125 hp or a four-cylinder diesel 1.5 TDCi with a power of 91 hp. In addition to these units, the standard EcoSport also gets a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with 112 horsepower.
