Ford Fiesta Van 2012 – UK only mini van

The Ford Fiesta underwent a facelift this year and made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012. The facelift mainly brought a 1.0 liter Ecoboost under the hood, more modern tail lamps and a Mondeo -style front fascia. Some individuals claim that Ford is imitating the luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin . However, a practical version of the Fiesta Van was presented in the UK yesterday.

It will offer a storage area of 1 m 3 and a useful weight in the range of 485-508 kilograms. The Fiesta Van will only be available as a three-door version and there are no windows in the rear. Two Duratorq diesel power units will appear under the hood – 1.5 TDCi (75 hp) and 1.6 TDCi (95 hp), later the small hatchback will also appear with a 1.25 -liter Duratec gasoline engine with an output of 82 hp.

The most economical Fiesta ECOnetic is equipped with a 1.6 TDCi diesel unit (95 hp), which is stored in the space below. There is also, of course, the Start/Stop system , low rolling resistance, aerodynamic wheel covers and elements in the rear. All mentioned diesel engines achieve CO 2 emissions of less than 100 g/km, but the ECOnetic version offers a combined consumption of 3.3 l/100 km and CO 2 emissions of only 87 g/km.

Sales of the Fiesta Van will start from next month, unfortunately only in the UK market .
