Fiat presented the off-road version of the Panda 4×4

In addition to the classic hatchback, the previous generation of the Fiat Panda 4×4 was also available in the Cross off-road version . It was characterized mainly by protective plastics and a far more adventurous appearance. And those who missed this model will now see its continuation .

Similar to the past, the Panda Cross now offers a large number of protective plastics and, as tradition dictates, those in both bumpers have a lacquer that imitates a metallic look . The fog lamps, which can now be found just below the main headlights, have been modified, and both are equipped with plastic protection. After all, we can also find it around the rear headlights. There are also roof rails, extended fenders and new fifteen-inch wheels.

Similar to the default Panda 4×4, the Cross version also offers four-wheel drive with torque distribution between the front and rear axles as needed, or an electronically locking differential . Using the selector in the interior, the driver can select one of three all-wheel drive modes – Auto (automatic torque distribution between both axles), Lock (permanent all-wheel drive) and Hill Descent (optimal when going down hills). Panda Cross received a standard MacPherson type front axle, at the back we find a torsion bar.

Under the hood, you can choose either a turbocharged two-cylinder 0.9 TwinAir with an output of 90 hp with a torque of 145 Nm or a four-cylinder diesel 1.3 MultiJet with an output of 80 hp with a torque of 190 Nm. Both engines will be offered with a specially modified six-speed manual transmission with a shorter first gear , which should help to better handle more difficult terrain.
