Fiat plans to invest in Italian factories

Fiat's European sales have fallen by almost a third over the past four years. While in 2009 the Italian car company held a market share of 9.3%, last year it was only 6.2%. Of course, the management will not be satisfied with such a decline and is preparing large-scale investments in Italian factories .

These are to reach 9 billion euros (approx. 247 billion crowns) and are to completely change Fiat's portfolio and significantly expand the offer of Alfa and Maserati. The last two mentioned brands are to offer several new models that will be produced domestically. These include the open variant of the Alfa 4C , the Giulia sedan or the Masearti Levante crossover .

A completely different case is Fiat , which will begin its recovery primarily by removing the Punto from the offer . The popular small hatchback will replace the Fiat 500 derivative, produced together with other versions at a factory in Poland . Another 500 derivative, expected as early as next year, is the 500X crossover . In addition to the 500, however, Fiat is also targeting another small car of its production – the Panda.

In addition to the Italian brands, Jeep will also be produced in Italy. Its first Italian model will be a small crossover next year, which will also become the base model of the off-road legend's entire range.
