Fabia Combi with a properly strengthened TDI under the hood

A Skoda with a station wagon body and a diesel TDI under the hood – the dream of many a Czech cottager, cottage owner , but also a manager who often commutes on the D1 highway. However, not only the aforementioned, but also tuners and fans of so-called sleepers will drool over the Dutch Fabia Combi with a reinforced TDI diesel under the hood.

According to official data, the gray Fabia Combi has driven 270,000 km, most of them with a 101 hp 1.9 TDI diesel engine under the hood. However, one day the owner replaced this unit with a more powerful 1.9 TDI of the ASZ series with a capacity of 131 hp. However, even that was not enough to his liking, and the station wagon underwent a large number of changes.

The stock turbo was first replaced with a larger Gt2260v from Garret , followed by different injectors, a 2.5-inch stainless exhaust, a reprogrammed control unit , and finally the removal of various environmental limiters. Result? Power 261.8 hp at 4167 rpm and torque 493.4 Nm at 2602 rpm!

Taming the engine's greater power is handled by new Audi TT and S3-sourced brakes with calipers sprayed in RS green, a modified chassis and a Sachs SRE clutch . From a visual point of view, the Fabia differs from the serial original perhaps only in the 17- inch wheels and the SDI label on the rear. There are already more modifications in the interior, starting with sports seats , leather upholstery, air conditioning, a new radio and ending with a subwoofer in the trunk.

The car is currently for sale for 8,000 euros (approx. 220,000 crowns) with the aforementioned 270,000 km on the odometer. However, the new technique has one big zero on its account.
