European parameters of the new Lexus IS

Just like some time ago in the case of the Infiniti Q50 , we introduced the Lexus IS to you at its premiere in Detroit . But now the time has come for the European premiere , and that's why we have another article about the Japanese sedan.

The IS 250 version has a 2.5-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine under the hood with an output of 207 hp at 6,400 rpm and a torque of 250 Nm at 4,800 rpm. In cooperation with the six-speed automatic , the IS 250 accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and accelerates to a maximum of 225 km/h. The combined consumption should be lower than 8.7 l/100 km and the emissions released per 1 km of driving should reach less than 200 g. All the power is transmitted to the road through the rear wheels.

The first hybrid in the history of the model – the IS 300h version – plays on a more ecological note. The Lexus Hybrid Drive hybrid system combines a 177-horsepower 2.5-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine with a 143-horsepower electric motor. The total power of the model is 220 horsepower, which is transmitted to the rear wheels through the E-CVT transmission . Lexus declares consumption under 4.3 l/100 km and emissions released per kilometer under 100 g. Meanwhile, the IS 300h accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and the maximum speed is 200 km/h. In addition to the combined cycle, the IS 300h can only run on electricity or gasoline.

4,665 mm high , 1,810 mm wide and 1,430 mm high, it offers space for five passengers and 480 liters of their luggage in the interior (450 liters for the hybrid). For the very first time, in addition to the hybrid, the IS will also feature the F Sport package, which includes special tuning of the chassis and electric power steering (optional adaptive variable suspension AVS), as well as unique design accessories in the exterior and interior.
