The 2014 Dodge Durango will debut at the New York Auto Show

The American car manufacturer Dodge released the first teaser of the Durango SUV , the new generation of which will premiere in just a few days at the prestigious New York Auto Show.

The new generation of the car promises the most modern technology and exclusive functions. The automaker has declined to elaborate on the details for now, but the first teaser suggests that the new offroader will feature predatory taillights, the design of which is taken from the smaller Dodge Dart model.

Two engines should appear under the hood of the new Durango. The basic engine should be a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with an output of 290 horsepower (216 kW) and 352 Nm of torque. However, for those who don't think it's enough, they will be able to get a huge 5.7-liter V8 engine with 360 hp (268 kW) and 528 Nm of torque in their Durango, which can give the large SUV excellent driving dynamics. Both engines will then cooperate with a newly developed eight-speed automatic transmission, which will also be equipped with several driving modes.
