Dacia is planning a new model priced at £5,000

Dacia is one of the fastest growing brands not only in Great Britain , but also throughout Europe. Its model range currently includes the Sandero , Logan, Dokker, Lodgy and Duster models, but within a few months it should expand to include another, primarily a cheap car .

This is to become an urban approachr , based on the platform of the outgoing generation of the Renault Twingo . Thanks to this, it is possible to reduce the price to a minimum, specifically to a figure of around 5,000 pounds (approx. 165,000 CZK), which is the price for which you can buy a ten-year-old Volkswagen Golf in Britain.

A further price reduction will be possible thanks to cooperation with the Russian car manufacturer Lada and the use of its factory in the city of Togliatti. As Rafel Treguer , the brand's development director, said some time ago, Dacia wants to penetrate every part of the market where there is potential. And that's exactly what he sees in the segment of cheap urban models . Just for comparison – the Suzuki Celerio will soon be on the market, and a small Opel with a price tag of around 200,000 CZK is also on the way.

Even if Dacia will be very cheap , it will certainly not become a synonym for an unsafe car . After all, we can already find frontal airbags , ABS or ESP in the basic equipment. Electric windows, alloy wheels or a radio will be available for an additional fee .
