The Chrysler concern will extend the lives of several of its models

Few car companies are without problems in the current economic situation. The Fiat -owned American concern Chrysler will therefore extend the lives of several of its models in the interest of the investigation. Specifically, these are the Dodge Avenger and Grand Caravan and the Jeep Wrangler .

We have already written about Dodge 's difficult situation recently, the information presented here will be further supplemented by the linked article.

The Dodge Avenger has an uncertain future. The Chrysler 200 's sibling will definitely see a new generation in the course of next year. A facelifted Avenger was due to follow shortly after, but according to the latest plans, the current generation will continue in production until 2015.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is a sibling of the Chrysler Town&Country in the group's offer. However, the management feels that only one of them has a place on the market, so the new generation Grand Caravan is unlikely to arrive. The Chrysler Town&Country will be redesigned in 2015, while the Grand Caravan will be available in the market until late 2017, after which it will likely end its life.

The Jeep Wrangler is such an ageless classic that the Chrysler concern is in no rush for its new generation. It was originally supposed to appear in the middle of 2016, but now the launch has been postponed until 2018. So the current generation of Wrangler has a really long life ahead of it.

Chrysler decided to extend the lives of these three models for a simple reason – it needs to focus on vehicles sold in large volumes, such as the Chrysler 200 . New generations of less important models were therefore pushed to a later date.
