Citroën C4 Aircross – First information

The French car manufacturer Citroën recently revealed information about the new compact SUV, which, together with its sister Peugeot 4008, is based on the Mitsubishi ASX platform.

The stylish crossover C4 Aircross continues the company's new strategy, which adheres to the production of multiple models derived from one basic model. This is especially true in the case of the DS series.

The car with dimensions of 4.34 x 1.80 x 1.63 meters is characterized by excellent handling in city traffic, which is also indicated by the turning radius of 10.6 meters. However, out-of-town capabilities will be very good thanks to the option of all-wheel drive, with both versions coming with 18” alloy wheels as standard.

Under the hood, European customers will get two diesel units and one gasoline unit. The basis will be the HDi 110 engine, which will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and will provide 82 kW and 270 Nm of torque. The next stage in the offer will be the HDi 150 unit, with a power of 110 kW and a torque of 300 Nm.

The remaining unit for the European market will be the 1.6i 115 four-cylinder petrol engine, which will offer an output of 85 kW. However, compared to the diesel versions, it will only be available with a five-speed manual.

Of course, all the power units mentioned so far meet the Euro 5 standard. However, for the non-European market, the automaker has prepared a 2.0i 150 gasoline engine, which will offer 113 kW and 198 Nm, while it will be available with either a five-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
