Chrysler slightly modified the 300 sedan

Light modernizations usually involve minimal cosmetic and technical changes . It is no different in the case of the Chrysler 300 model year 2015, with one exception – the US will lose the sports version of the SRT !

The most visually striking change is the 30% larger radiator grille , at the top of which is the car company's logo. In addition to it, the front bumper, which has side direction indicators on the sides (previously they were in the mirrors), was also modernized. The headlights at the front and rear are made of LEDs and received a slightly changed shape for the new model year. In the rear, there is also a new rear spoiler and bumper with a diffuser and trapezoidal exhaust tips.

The interior is made of better materials and the design is closer to the smaller Chrysler 200. This is especially noticeable on the instrument panel, where we can find a new seven-inch screen. The 8.4-inch screen of the Uconnect multimedia system, which now offers a Wi-Fi hotspot, was also slightly modernized. The lever of the eight-speed automatic was replaced by a more modern rotary control .

Under the hood, the Pentastar 3.6-liter six-cylinder with a capacity of 296 hp and a torque of 352 Nm will remain, which transmits power to the rear or all wheels using an eight-speed automatic transmission. This can also be found in the 5.7-liter eight-cylinder Hemi , which has 369 horses and 533 Nm. Similar to the first case, the rear wheels are driven. The bad news, at least for American customers, is the end of the sporty version of the SRT with a 471 horsepower V8 Hemi under the hood. Other corners of the world, however, will see it, according to Chrysler… The hydraulic power steering is already a thing of the past, which replaced the electric power steering . The axles are newly made of cast aluminum.

The new top of the range will be the Chrysler 300 Platinum with a chrome grille, larger wheels, Poltrona Frau leather upholstery and wood trim. All versions then get an improved adaptive cruise control, a frontal collision warning or a lane departure warning. The basic price was set at 32,390 dollars (approx. 716,000 crowns), the top version Platinum will cost 43,390 dollars (approx. 960,000 crowns).
