Chevrolet introduced the Prisma sedan

All the media (including us) are full of news that will be shown in just a few days or hours at the Geneva exhibition center . However, Chevrolet is not only thinking about Geneva and has introduced a sedan that is specially designed for the Brazilian market .

Chevrolet Prisma is technically and design based on the Onix hatchback , which could be described as a kind of South American Chevrolet Aveo. Up to the B-pillar, the Prisma shares the design with the Onix. It means a distinctive front end with a distinctive radiator grille. The rear part then offers a hint of a spoiler on the trunk lid and a relatively elegant connection of the rear part to the profile of the car. The interior offers a similar design to some other Chevrolets of today, and similar alarm clocks can also be found in the European Aveo.

The 4275 mm long, 1705 mm wide and 1484 mm high sedan standing on the Gamma II platform is powered by a pair of engines capable of burning gasoline or ethanol . The weaker one has a volume of one liter and an output of 80 hp (ethanol) and 78 hp (gasoline). The more powerful engine has a volume of 1.4 and a power of 106 hp (ethanol) and 98 hp (gasoline). The 2,528 mm long wheelbase takes care of the comfort of the passengers inside, and the 500-liter trunk takes care of their luggage.

Brazil will have two trim levels – LT and LTZ . The basic model offers ABS, EBD, parking sensors or front airbags, the higher version adds fog lights or the MyLink multimedia system. The basic price on the Brazilian market is 34,990 reals (approx. 348,000 CZK).
