The role of Chevrolet's smallest model has been steadily fulfilled for several years by the Spark, formerly known as the Matiz in some markets. So far, the latest generation has received a sportier cut jacket and better safety equipment.

The power unit belongs to the global GM family and features an aluminum block and cylinder heads, a low-friction camshaft and a low-friction oil pump. In addition to the reinforced body structure , safety is ensured by front, side and head airbags, knee airbags for the driver and passenger, a pre-collision system, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring. A reversing camera will be standard, rear parking assistant will be available for an extra charge.
