Chevrolet in Geneva – Modernized Captiva and SUV Trax

The facelifted Chevrolet Captiva features various changes to the front and rear of the body, including LED taillights, angular chrome tailpipes and a restyled rear bumper. At the front, fog lamps with a changed shape, a new radiator grille and a lower elongated front bumper attract attention. The changed exterior appearance is completed by new 18" light alloy wheels.

All versions of the 2013 model year Captiva have keyless entry and start as standard in higher trim levels. In the cabin, the seats received fresh color covers with a new fabric structure (higher equipment versions have leather seats), the decorative panels on the instrument panel have also been changed. For higher equipment versions, comfort is increased by dual-zone automatic air conditioning, ambient interior lighting and heated rear seats.

The modernized Chevrolet Captiva is a typical SUV for the family with up to seven-seater crew cabin and equipment elements that increase comfort. In addition, Chevrolet will expand its SUV lineup for Europe this spring with the Trax, entering the popular and fast-growing small SUV segment. The Trax will be available with front- or all-wheel drive.

The all-new Chevrolet Trax will appear in the showrooms of authorized dealers in Europe this spring, here in June. Chevrolet's new small SUV features an athletic, inspiring design, a range of three efficient engines and sporty, agile driving characteristics. In addition to the basic 1.6-liter gasoline engine, the engine range includes a turbocharged 1.4-liter gasoline engine with an output of 103 kW (140 hp) and a 1.7-liter turbodiesel with an output of 96 kW (130 hp).

All versions with manual transmission are equipped with the Start / Stop system. The 1.7 liter diesel engine can also be ordered with a 6-speed automatic transmission for an additional fee. The average standardized fuel consumption is 4.5 l/100 km for the 1.7 diesel engine and 6.5 l/100 km for the 1.4 Turbo petrol engine (with manual transmission).

The Chevrolet Trax with the base 1.6-liter gasoline engine has front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive (AWD) is available for the 1.4 Turbo petrol engine and the 1.7 liter diesel engine. The adaptive system distributes the engine's torque to the individual axles according to the prevailing driving and adhesion conditions, thereby significantly improving traction on slippery roads and unpaved surfaces.
